Questions We All Ask

There are three basic questions we all ask at some point in our lives. The sooner we get

answers to the questions the sooner we can find peace. Those questions are who, why and what.

Who am I? Why am I here and what am I supposed to do?

We will take the three and try to answer them in order.

Who am I? You have probably heard someone say I am going to take a break and try to find

myself. It really isn’t a mystery and you don’t have to go somewhere to find yourself. You are a spirit and you live in a body. Some people call it an earth suit. In order to be legal and function on earth, you have to have a body. That is why when your body dies you (spirit) has to leave.

God created mankind in his image and he made two different models or earth suits. If you have a womb, you are a womb- man or woman. If you don’t have a womb, you are a man. You don’t have to have a degree in biology to know what a woman is, you just need to know the truth. God made them male and female and he called them Adam.

The Hebrew word Adam, means mankind, so Adam was more than just a man’s name. He and the woman were the first created human beings, or mankind. The woman was later called Eve which means the mother of all living. We all come from the same source. There is only one race and that is the human race. We are all from the same original family. We need to stop separating ourselves by race. God made two models for a reason. He told Adam to be fruitful and to multiply. Gods goal was to fill the earth with many sons who would represent him on the earth.

The man and the woman have different functions. God put Adam in the garden first and gave him all of the instructions. He gave him dominion over everything in the garden He told him he could partake of every tree except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. God put Adam in the garden to work it. Work isn’t a bad word. This all came before the curse.

Most people think work is a part of the curse. God gave Adam his life work or purpose. He then said it isn’t good for the man to be alone and that is when he created the woman. Adam was created from the dirt but Eve was created from a rib from Adams side. The woman was created out of man to help him with his life’s work. The man needs to know what his life’s work is before he marries because the woman he marries is created to help him fulfill that work. We will look at this more when we answer the question, what am I supposed to do.

This is why a lot of wives are frustrated. They were created to help their husband fulfill his

life’s work. If the man doesn’t know who he is and what Gods work for him is then he can’t

properly lead his wife and family. That is why it is so important for the man to answer the

question, who am I, before he takes the responsibility of a wife.

God is a God of order. Everything on earth was created to function under Gods original

design or order. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, they disrupted the order that God had established. That is why God came to earth himself and he had to have a body to function legallyon earth. Jesus was the body and God was the Spirit, just like us we are a spirit in a body in order to function on earth. Thus, the term Emmanuel “God with us.” The death burial and resurrection of Jesus set things back in order. That is why Jesus said “it is finished.”

Now if it is to be it is up to me. We have to answer the question, “who am I,” which I have just explained and then begin to put our lives back in the order that God intended from the beginning.

The bible says that Satan is a liar and the father of lies because there is no truth in him. He is called the deceiver and he perverts the truth. He is a counterfeit. He comes as an angel of light. The bible tells us not to be ignorant of his devices. It is our duty as a disciple to know his method and that he always tempts us in the same three areas he tempted Eve. If you read Matthew chapter 4 you will see that he tempted Jesus with the same method in the same three areas. The good news is Jesus was tempted in all points as we yet without sin. He defeated Satan that day in the desert which made the way for us to have victory over sin the same way Jesus did. Jesus spoke the word to him and told him it is written man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeded out of the mouth of God. The whole idea of the resurrection of Jesus was to send the Holy Spirit back to live in us to give us the power and the authority that we need to overcome Satan and his deception. Jesus came to undo what Adam and Eve did. They rebelled against the word and authority of God and lost their relationship with him. Jesus came to restore us back in right relationship with the father so that we can walk with him in the garden. The garden was the atmosphere created by the presence of God. When you have the Holy Spirit residing in you his presence creates that same atmosphere that was in the garden. Jesus warned that false Christs and false prophets would arise and show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light and his ministers transformed as the ministers of righteousness, whose end shall be according to their works. There is so much of this going on today that it is scary. Social media has made it possible for so many people to be so called ministers and prophets speaking everything but the truth. You really have to be careful who you listen to. I try to keep up with most everything that is going on and sometimes something sounds so close to the truth that it even makes me question for a minute. Thank God I have a strong foundation and am not moved by every wind and doctrine that comes along. Most people today don’t have a relationship with their pastor. The Mega churches have made it impossible to really get to know and spend any time with the pastor. In like manor the people that you listen to on social media are not approachable either to have a real relationship with them. Jesus set the perfect example for us to follow. He walked with his disciples almost daily and they could see that he was genuine. The things that he said matched up with the things that he did. What we do today and call it church is far from what Jesus intended. He intended for us to live in community as believers and share our lives with one another the ups and the downs. It was never intended for us to go to church but rather for us to be the church. We have made the concept of church all about the meetings. Today most of the meetings are entertaining the saints instead of discipling them. Jeus said I will build my Ecclesia(church) and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. Rome had its Ecclesia so Jesus said I will build my Ecclesia. The word Ecclesia is not a religious term but rather a political term. It was the governing body of Rome similar to our senate. The Ecclesia(church) is supposed to be Jesus governing body on earth teaching people how his kingdom works. The goal here at Goshen Falls is to teach kingdom principle both by demonstrating them and teaching them at the retreats.
